Captis React provides real-time face detection for automatic submission to the Captis Intelligence database, which contains publically-available criminal record images, names, and arrest / conviction records.

 

Within seconds of each face being detected entering a given space ... and based on pre-defined match criteria ... XProtect Smart Client operators are alerted to subjects who may pose a safety or security risk.

 

Captis React automatically presents the Smart Client operator with criminal history images and subject information to support a human decision based upon the intelligence data provided.

 

When a pro-active, "pre-incident" security posture is required, Captis React leverages your existing XProtect surveillance infrastructure, to help security personnel anticipate crimes before they happen ... and safeguard their respective community.

 

Advanced filtering and privacy protections are built-in, to target only select categories of criminals, who may pose a threat to safety or property. Only Smart Client users with sufficient privileges can view ... or review ... detection records.

How it Works

 

Captis React is a middleware application that runs in parallel with your XProtect system.

 

Captis React uses a face detection analytic to monitor selected XProtect streams, and relays detected faces to the Captis cloud-based service. Incoming faces are compared with faces registered in the Captis database (of 150 million records).

 

If a possible match is detected (if there is a "hit"), Captis React generates an XProtect alarm record, which includes all accompanying mugshots from the Captis matched record(s). The Milestone alarm record also includes a brief description of the subject's criminal history. This entire cycle occurs within a few seconds of the initial face detection.

 

The Smart Client operator can then access a link with more comprehensive information about the subject, if further investigation is deemed necessary.

 

Captis React operates alongside the XProtect services ... so plug-ins are not required. Additional CPU or GPU capacity is required on the server on which Captis React runs.

 

Licenses can be purchased per number of live camera streams, and are independent of individual cameras. As such, video stream licenses can easily be reallocated to other cameras as priorities, hot-spots, or possible threats evolve.
