How it works
BTX listens for event data directly from the Axis radar device, and provides a simple method to map radar analytic events (known as Scenarios) with XProtect cameras and devices.
- Log into the Axis Radar UI, go to events and designate BTX as a "recipient".
- Create a TCP event and select the radar analytics "Scenario" to send to XProtect.
- Type a site-specific, situation specific message to be displayed in the XProtect Smart Client.
- In BTX, choose your preferred Milestone actions and choose the XProtect camera to associate with the event.
The radar event ("Scenario") is now integrated, with no plug-ins or XProtect Management Server configuration required. If you have many radar scenarios, then simply create a new Axis device event and repeat the steps above.

In addition to Axis Security Radar devices. BTX is 100% compatible with AXIS cameras, ACAP analytics packages, Axis encoders / decoders, Axis intercoms, etc.. BTX can map Axis device events that are NOT visible in the XProtect event list, or from devices that do not have a XProtect license.
BTX receives event data directly from any axis device. Users then select from a menu of XProtect actions to trigger when the event occurs.
BTX also provides an additional layer of alarm filtering and controls:
- FILTER reductant alarms within a time window.
- SCHEDULE alarms based on hour/day/etc.
- PTZ presets (on any camera, not just the device on which the event occurred.)
- GENERATE an XProtect alarm record, event record, or both.
- ACTIVATE any of your XProtect user-defined events.
- DISPLAY live matrix profiles.
- ASSOCIATE additional cameras for better visual confirmation.
- INDICATE events on App-Techs' Situational Awareness Dashboard.
- GROUP multiples alarms with conditional logic.
