App-Techs assembles and ships Coronavirus Remote Patient Monitoring System

 

 

App-Techs is pleased to announce that it will serve as the assembly plant for the Coronavirus Remote Patient Monitoring System by Knowfalls Fall Prevention Solutions.

 

This system allows technicians or certified nursing assistants to conduct virtual patient rounds via remote cameras, which supports patient care, reduces virus exposure risk, and conserves masks, gloves, and gowns.

 

The patient monitoring system is shipped as a pre-configured, plug-and-play system that includes cameras, laptop, monitor, and all other necessary equipment within a Pelican case. It can be installed in less than 60 minutes within a hospital, temporary care center, or assisted-living facility. Configurations are available for monitoring groups of 8, 16, and 25 patients (dedicated camera per patient).

 

The system is HIPAA compliant, and patient video is streamed in real-time and never recorded or saved. Some of the functions that can be remotely performed include: identifying patients attempting a room-exit, engaging patients for routine requests, requesting appropriate resources to attend to a patient’s need, and performing virtual rounds to monitor and record patient activities (in the record database that is part of the system).

 

App-Techs will assemble all hardware components, pre-load and pre-configure the necessary software, and ship directly from our facility. This partnership builds upon our expertise in the areas of video server manufacturing and analytics software integration.
