Michael Farnan

Mike has more than 20 years experience in the security and technology industry. Prior to joining App-Techs, Mike was a product manager for Bosch / Philips, where he introduced some of the industry's first digital video recorders. Mike was also a security consultant and specified security systems for a variety of institutions and businesses including schools, retail, manufacturing, transportation, professional services and financial services. He now manages all sales and marketing activities at App-Techs. With a focus on the video surveillance industry, Mike has led the conversion of several large traditional analog systems to Enterprise-wide Network Video Surveillance Solutions. He has also designed turn-key video surveillance solutions for hospitals, cities, municipalities, financial services, retail, manufacturing and schools.

Mike's extensive involvement in the video surveillance industry has led to the development of App-Techs' i-Vu (Digital Video Recorder); Video Sentry (a portable surveillance server), and the EasyNVR line of Network Video Recorders.

Mike's educational background includes a degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University and an MBA degree from Saint Joseph's University. He is also certified with several leading security and technology suppliers including Milestone XProtect, ONSSI, Bosch, Axis and Panasonic. He is also CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design - http://www.cptedtraining.net) certified.

Daniel Fritsch

Dan manages the technical team at App-Techs and participates in the development of new hardware and software products for the company. With over 25 years experience in the computer, network and electronics industry, Dan has managed multiple IT environments, implemented company-wide business applications, developed web sites and several video surveillance software and hardware solutions, including the i-Vu, Video Sentry, EasyNVR, SWIM and HUM.

Since App-Techs was founded, Dan has contributed to the design and implementation of several campus-wide Internet solutions and city-wide surveillance installations. These implementations utilized wireless mesh, wireless point-to-point, and PLC (power line communications) technologies. He also has extensive experience with: Milestone XProtect, ONSSI, Telkonet PLC and a multitude of wireless technologies from manufacturers including Tropos,Trazeo, Fluid Mesh, Firetide, and Avalan. Dan has an advanced certification with Milestone XProtect products and has successfully integrated Milestone XProtect into third-party systems.
